My personal determination in regards to the underlying reasons proposed by the author, is that there seems to be contradictions in the comparisons used to make the specific point and thus the outcome...is there any principle ethics of the futurology domain or any other academic foresighting dogma, stating that the futurologists role in extrapolation has decreased due to the clarity of probabilitys?...I see it the other way around; the important role of the futurologist should especially come into effect when popular sense of direction is baffled...futurology studies are not only comprised of predictions; their studies also help us understand the existence of topics such as genetic engineering, nanotechnology, climate change, computer power, etc.
