If it is, they certainly don't seem to care if the word gets out. As for 3Dvia, they have something called Supplier Source which was, as I understood it, to be a means for professionals to connect with manufacturers. But since I first learned of it, I've not heard anything more about it. From the initial report, it sounded like a hook to get people to upload high-quality content, but currently the Supplier Source page feels a bit more like something unrelated to the rest of the site.
