Why do I blog this? I was looking for some nice examples of timelines/sparkline and visualization of events that happened over time and I found this huge project. I found it smart and informative, would be good to have this at home.

Hi,
I’ve been working on something similar - a graph of the creative influence of writers, artists, scientists, etc. on each other. I used Touchgraph to let viewers interact with the data, pull up bios or click through to the Wikipedia article. You can grab my data or an image of the whole graph for free.
