Mobile TV adoption

We always talk about mobile TV, and how “we will never watch TV on a small screen”. Yeah yeah…

Mobile TV users surpass 6-millions in Korea

It’s a shame we have no DMB in Europe, it looks like a much better technology for mobile TV than 3G.

But is DMB, or indeed DVB-M really “mobile TV” in the sense that mobile operators dream of (i.e use up all that 3G bandwidth watching “TV” – whatever TV means these days)

    I don’t think so.

Do you mean that mobile TV should not be called mobile because it is not operated by our beloved monopolistic operators ;) ?

Lasy year,I visited London for a conference and had a chance to demonstrate the Korean Mobile TV to the conference participants. Their response was quite interesting as they all agreed that they did not expect such a good quality in mobile handset. I wrote little longer on this incident at my company’s homepage. http://www.veyond.com/exclusive/veyondinmedia.html
