The new coComment is here
We finally put weeks of hard work online. I believe the new coComment is much, much better on numerous aspects: more complete, mature, usable, stable, pretty, etc… Check the list of new features here
Right now we are still running after the buzz, checking if our users find new bugs. So far so good, let’s hope we can get a few hours of sleep tonight after the Californian TechCrunchers wake up and invade the service…

As I’ve just mentioned in my post about the newest coComment version, if it works as promised, it makes other tracking systems essentially obsolete.

I was annoyed and distracted by the announcement email including my password.

Hey Lloyd,
I read that. We actually made it because we had a number of users that hadn’t used the system for a while and we thought it was a good idea to send such a reminder.
I use a lot of services that send your password when you forget it. There are other ways of doing it – maybe more secure. I’ll forward that to our CTO and we will evaluate a change in the password procedure. Ideas welcome of course!
Thx for the feedback :-)

Thank you for the response Laurent. I hope you can now appreciate it was not a good idea. That other services do it when requested is a poor excuse—they should also know better. I hope to see an official response about the password issue.

Right now I’ll appreciate my week-end ;-)
Be sure it’s on our to do list, and Steph is making sure this gets on top!

Oh, Laurent, you are the coComment folks. I should’ve known.
Great update, really. Looks way slicker.

Hey Olle,
glad to see you’re reading this space!
I am one third of the founders (and one twelvth of the team) so I don’t deserve all the credit. Thanks for the nice words folks :-)
