Let’s update our gurus!

How long can we have blogging gurus coming from one of the market players (and not impartial, objective people)?

Fact is blogging has been in need of promotion for years. It was an unknown technology fighting for recognition so any energy was welcome. Often, those seeking more respect were blogging entrepreneurs, blogging vendors, or people trying to push their own sites in the process.

This is a little bit incestuous, positioning yourself as an objective advisor/observer of a market in which you have personal interest.

Now that blogs are moving into the mainstream, it is time for a new generation of analysts to emerge. We need people looking from the outside, making fair calls and stating the truth with no fear of being google bombed.
