Is six apart losing it?
It seems that the honey moon between Six Apart (the formerly super-trendy blogging platform) and the web is nearing its end: Mena Trott (CEO) lost it during a presentation, Loic LeMeur (European CEO) crossed a few lines answering negative remarks of a journalist on Les Blogs, more downtimes are being reported.
How long can you make a business out of a not free blogging platform? Can Six Apart beat the Wordpress and the rest of the open-source community? Or are the recent struggles a sign of too much pressure? It will be interesting to follow, just as interesting as seeing google (the most respected web company) fight back the recent google is evil talks. At least Google has some structural barriers to protect its business (price of hardware needed, complexity of algorithm, etc…)
