ElectronNews
Posted: June 25th, 2005 | 4 Comments »The guys at Electron Libre (a really cool Geneva web agency) just started a blog: ElectronNews. They seem to focus on video streaming and Macromedia Flash. Some really useful info out there check these guys out.
While I absolutely disagree with some of what they say (like “The Flash Platform [...] creates the richest, most intuitive and desirable digital experiences on the planet.”) they have a really neat product to publish videos in a matter of seconds. The Swiss public television is using it and maintains one of the best streaming TV website I’ve ever seen. Programs are available 20 minutes after they aired, really impressive (and useful)
Note: I think in the 21st century people will link to their competitors and say “these guys are cool check them out”. Did I just do that?
Update: Raphael (head of Electron Libre) just sent me an email to correct some of the things I wrote here. Actualy the TSR is NOT using their platform yet. They are strongly considering doing so and both companies are already collaborating on three other projects: tsr.ch/50, tsrvideo.ch and tsr.ch/matele

“The Flash Platform … create the richest, most intuitive and desirable digital experiences on the planet.” is the marketing conclusion of Macromedia, not ours. But we are strongly convinced that’s true… if you talk about Flash components, not hazardous introduction with a bad “skipintro”.

is this a troll to let people around throw up about flash? ;)
I am still not convinced by flash, what are the arguments? I see too many pitfalls :(
